Yes, we are licensed by The State of Connecticut Office of Early Childhood Youth Camps Division.

Each age group is limited to 20-25 campers per session. Groups are grouped by the camper’s current school grade. The middle school camp includes campers that will have completed either 8th grade in June prior to the start of camp.

It varies from age groups depending on the total enrollment of the age group. Each group has 2 counselors with them at all times.

Junior Counselors are high school students that must be 16 years-old by the start of the camp season to be eligible to be employed at The IC Day Camp. Senior/Activity Counselors have completed at least one year of college or above. Many of our staff members are area teachers, college and graduate students.

Yes, we have a registered nurse on staff from 8:30am-5:00pm and our camp doctor is on call. All lifeguards are First Aid/CPR trained.

Health forms are valid for 2 years.

Each camper brings a bag lunch to camp. The lunches are refrigerated in the morning until lunch. All lunches must be nut free

Yes, full day campers are given a nut free snack in the afternoon. These snacks vary between cookies, crackers, Popsicles, popcorn, fruit snacks, etc. Campers are also allowed to bring their own snacks to eat at snack time. The Middle School camp has the privilege of using the IC snack bar to purchase a snack in the afternoon. Anyone with food allergies must supply their own snacks from home. Please note that the camp is nut free.

On rainy days we move the camp into the main building. We use the gymnasium, various available banquet rooms, and weather permitting the outdoor/indoor pools. We offer activities such as a game area, movies, gym time, music, dance and arts & crafts.

Yes, there is a $400.00 non-refundable/applicable deposit required to hold your camper’s placement in camp.

All camp accounts must be paid in full by TBD.

Yes, any account paid in full by March 22, 2024 is entitled to receive a 5% discount off of the tuition.

There are no refunds for any reason. Camp fees are not transferable to any other Italian Center program or membership.
