Federico Yanez, Director of Racquet Sports
Prior to joining the IC, Federico was the Director of Racquets Sports at Morristown Field Club where he started and built a successful program for tennis, platform tennis and pickleball.
Previously, Federico spent five years at the Bronxville Field Club in Mount Vernon, NY, as the Assistant Director of Racquets Sports. In addition, he has worked at various clubs in the Westchester area implementing new ideas, programs and projects that have increased member participation and attracted new members.
As a player, Federico was a top-ranked junior tennis player in Argentina. At 13 years old, he moved to Miami where he competed in the highest level junior tournaments. As an adult, he played in the Men’s Open and ITF professional tournaments. Currently, he is ranked #63 in the nation with his partner for platform tennis. After giving the professional experience a try, he developed a love of coaching and he now channels his passion and knowledge of the game into teaching his students.
Felipe Charry, Tennis Professional
Felipe Charry is a tennis coach from Bogota, Colombia, with over 10 years of experience coaching players of all ages and skill levels. He also has over 6 years of experience at the collegiate tennis level competing in Texas and Tennessee and is currently the Head Coach at Carson-Newman University where he leads and manages the Men’s and Women’s teams.
Felipe is passionate about helping players improve their game and achieve their goals on the court. Felipe likes players to have fun and enjoy the game while he gives quick tips on tactics to improve his players’ tennis game. He sincerely believes that tennis is not just a sport but a lifelong skill that can be enjoyed by players of all ages and abilities.
Anastasia Luneva, Tennis Professional
Anastasia Luneva is originally from Russia. She has been playing tennis since the age of 4. Anastasia has competed in tournaments all over the world in the ITF tournaments circuit. When she turned 18 she decided to continue her career playing tennis at college and committed with
University of Nevada. Anastasia played the number 1 position three years in a row and continues playing now, she will be graduating spring 2024. Anastasia taught tennis back in Russia, then worked during the summers in New York and last summer in Chicago. Anastasia has experience running clinics and lessons with adults and kids and running camps for kids. She is a very easy-going person on and off the court, open minded, and hardworking. When teaching she wants people to enjoy the process of learning and doing what they love to do. Anastasia enjoys working with people of all ages and especially with kids, where they can learn and have fun at the same time, so they are happy and grow their love for the game.
Gabriel Paulk, Tennis Professional
Gabriel, born and raised in Norwalk, CT has coached tennis for 12 years throughout Fairfield & Westchester County. He started with Norwalk Grassroots and has helped coach the program to Nationals along with helping his old high school Brien McMahon. He also has a very deep background in leading various tennis startup/summer programs in Norwalk, Stamford and other parts of the Fairfield & Westchester county.
He has taught tennis at Solaris, Newfield Country Club and John McEnroe’s Sportime tennis clubs. Additionally, he has taught a mixture of tennis, platform tennis and pickleball at Larchmont Yacht Club, Redding CC as well as most recently Mount Kisco Country Club. He is USPTA Professional certified, PTR 10 & under as well as PTR adult certified.
In his free time, he enjoys performing at poetry slams, investing, darts tournaments, boxing as well as flag football leagues.
