Camp Details & Scheduling
The IC Summer Camp is held daily, rain or shine, at the lower field of the Italian Center property. We offer full-day and half-day options to accommodate different schedules and age groups.
- Full-Day Camp: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (For campers entering Kindergarten through 8th grade)
- Half-Day Camp: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 12:30PM – 4:00 PM (For preschoolers, 4 years and older, through 8th grade)
Each group is organized by school grade, ensuring age-appropriate activities and supervision while allowing children to make friends within their peer groups. Our small camper-to-counselor ratio guarantees personalized attention and a supportive environment.
Exciting Activities for Every Camper
At the IC Summer Camp, we believe in variety, engagement, and discovery. Our daily activities are designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and healthy habits while providing campers with ample opportunities to explore their interests. Some of our standout programs include:
1. Daily Swimming & Water Fun
Swimming is one of the most popular activities at camp, and we encourage all campers to participate in the pool daily. For younger campers (Preschool through 4th grade), instructional swim lessons are provided each morning to help improve water confidence and technique. Middle school campers enjoy daily free swim time, offering the perfect way to cool off and socialize with friends. Our certified lifeguards and swim instructors ensure safety and skill development in every session.
2. Sports & Outdoor Games
Our camp is packed with exciting sports and recreation activities, including:
-
- Basketball, soccer, and tennis for skill-building and friendly competition.
- Archery target practice and skill challenges to improve precision and focus.
- Obstacle courses and relay races to encourage teamwork and fun.
- Field games like capture the flag and kickball that foster strategy and coordination.
- Nature exploration and scavenger hunts for a mix of adventure and learning.
- Team-building activities that promote social skills, cooperation, and leadership.
Whether your camper is an athlete in training or just loves to run around and play, our sports programs cater to all skill levels and interests.
3. Arts, Crafts, & Creative Fun
Not all activities at camp are high-energy—some are designed to spark creativity and artistic expression! Our arts & crafts program allows campers to:
- Experiment with painting and drawing
- Create DIY projects, jewelry, and camp-themed crafts.
- Participate in themed craft days that align with our weekly special events.
- Develop fine motor skills and self-expression through hands-on activities.
- Art show where campers can showcase their creations.
4. Special Events & Weekly Themes
Each week, we introduce a new theme that adds an extra layer of excitement and adventure to camp. Past themes have included:
-
- Superhero Week (dress-up days, obstacle courses, and superhero training challenges!)
- Water Olympics (fun team competitions and pool-based activities)
- Carnival Day (games, prizes, and classic fair-style attractions)
